Have you always dreamed of learning to play the clarinet? Here's your chance to learn from the very best! Whether you are an esteemed Clarinetist, a newbie just starting out, or even if you weren't in line when they handed out musical genes, you don't want to pass up on this rare opportunity. In the name of charity, we are auctioning off a 2-hour private clarinet lesson with Anthony McGill, principal clarinetist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra!
You may recognize Anthony from his performance of "Air and Simple Gifts" by John Williams with Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman and Gabriela Montero at the inauguration of President Barack Obama in January 2009.

World Renowned Choreographer Ronald K. Brown Returns to the East End with his Internationally Acclaimed Evidence, A Dance Company.
The Sixth Annual “On Our Toes in The Hamptons” featuring the internationally acclaimed Evidence, A Dance Company under the direction of founder Ronald K. Brown will take place at the home of The Honorable Bernard and Joyce Jackson on Saturday, August 22, 2009.
Benefit committee for what has become the premiere African American cultural event of the season includes Alicia Bythewood, Chair; b Michael, Harriet Michel, Brian and Mira Mullins, Donna Williams, Reginald Van Lee, Neil R. Lowe, Joyce Mullins-Jackson, Reggie Canal, Leslie Mays, Zaid Abdul-Aleem, Dwayne Ashley, Monica F. Azare, Joanne E. Hill, Andrea Hoffman, Sandra D. Jackson-Dumont, James Sullivan, Jocelyn Taylor, Ancy Verdier, Lisa B. Walker.
The mission of Evidence is to promote understanding of the African Diaspora through dance and storytelling. The company will celebrate its 25th season in 2010. Highlights include a four-week tour to Africa sponsored by the U.S. State Department and performances at the Vancouver International Dance Festival.
The late afternoon event will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, auction, performance and dancing with the dancers.
